"I would appreciate an early response."

"I would appreciate your help in this matter."

Another way of politely asking for something is to use "grateful".

"I would be grateful if you could....." or "I would be grateful for your help".

Common mistake

"I would appreciate if..." Be careful to use "it" after "appreciate" and before "if".
