Chinese textbooks outdated

So far, a large part of teaching materials in Chinese universities have become something outdated in content, especially in management, nano-meter technology, gene, information and some other fields. Those materials have a large gap with foreign teaching materials.

Ministry of Education requested promotion of foreign language teaching in institutes of higher leaning, particularly in majors as information, biology, new material technology, finance, law and some hot majors as China has already joined the WTO.

According to reports, currently, foreign teaching material is basically confined in economics, management, medical sciences, computer and some other subjects, and some material's translation and printing quality is not high.

In addition, price of most of foreign teaching material (at 30-50 US dollars) is higher for majority of Chinese students.
