Presidium passes draft resolutions (11/11/2002)
The presidium of the 16th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) held its second meeting in the Great Hall of the People yesterday afternoon.

The meeting, presided over by General Secretary Jiang Zemin, approved three draft resolutions respectively on the report of the 15th CPC Central Committee, the work report of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, and the amendment to the Constitution of the CPC. The 15th CPC Central Committee was formed at the 1997 Party congress via voting.

The meeting decided to hand them over to delegations to the congress for discussion.

The presidium meeting also approved election methods of the congress and fulfilled some other agendas related to the congress.
